Fire Door Compliance
FD30 and FD60 fire door inspections for housing and commercial buildings. We check every door against the standard, flag the defects and tell you exactly what needs putting right.
The standard
What FD30 And FD60 Mean
FD30 and FD60 are ratings for how long a fire door will hold back fire and smoke. FD30 gives 30 minutes of protection and FD60 gives 60 minutes.
A fire door only performs to its rating if every part is right, the door, the frame, the gaps, the seals, the hinges and the closer. One missing intumescent strip or an oversized gap and the rating is lost. Our inspection checks the whole assembly against the standard.

How Often And What Next
Communal fire doors in higher-risk buildings need checking regularly and flat entrance doors need checking too. We will advise on the right frequency for your building.
