Fire Risk Assessments
Fire risk assessments for housing and commercial buildings, carried out by competent assessors. We identify the risks, set out clear actions and give you a report you can act on.
The assessment
What A Fire Risk Assessment Covers
A fire risk assessment looks at how a fire could start, how it could spread and how people would get out. It identifies the hazards, the people at risk and the measures needed to keep them safe.
We assess the building fabric, escape routes, fire doors, alarms, signage and management arrangements. You get a prioritised list of actions, so you know exactly what needs doing and in what order. Every assessment is carried out by a competent, suitably qualified assessor.
Who and when
Who Needs One And How Often
If you are the responsible person for a building, you need a current fire risk assessment. How often it needs reviewing depends on the building and how it is used.
- Landlords and housing providers with communal areas
- Commercial building owners and managing agents
- Any workplace with five or more employees
- Buildings after a significant change or refurbishment
- Reviewed regularly and after any incident
- Sooner if the building or its use changes
